What people are saying about the election on social media

KATU News is helping you cut through the social media noise this Election Day and find the tweets that really matter. We've put together three Storify lists that we'll be updating throughout the night.
- The people: Some of the best insight on Election Day comes not from the campaigns, but from the ordinary people and political observers Tweeting about the election.
- Election night humor: This is Twitter, after all, so you know plenty of people will be going heavy on the snark. We'll compile some of our favorite humorous tweets.
Iâve always found the shear laziness of the media, when it comes to simply regurgitate social media posts and calling it news, to be absolutely astounding. When I watch the Olympics, I donât want someone reading tweets to me, I want to watch the games. When Iâm watching election news I donât care what someone tweeted. If I did care, I would have followed them already.
 @JTesla They just want to keep you watching even if it's pretty obviously an Obama win. Someone has to pay for the ads.
@JTesla ......great point
Social media......where the self absorbed, self centered go to feel needed and important.
Totally unlike, say, comment sections of news sites.
