Six months ago Jeff Cogan resigned as chair of Multnomah County following a sex scandal involving another county employee.
Candidates who want to be the next county chair participated in an event hosted by the African American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon, KBNP Radio and KATU.
Among the candidates who want the top job: Former Portland City Commissioner Jim Francesconi, former Multnomah County Commissioner Deborah Kafoury and former Army Lt. Steven Reynolds. They discussed their plans for the county, if elected, during a debate hosted by KATU's Steve Dunn.
The election is in May.
A portion of that debate aired on Sunday's "Your Voice, Your Vote." Here is the entire debate, edited only to break it up into three parts to ensure efficient video processing. No questions or answers were edited.
