Gov. Kitzhaber calls for special session, reason unclear so far

What a bozo. Can't believe the people of Oregon voted this retread in again...but then again I guess I can believe it. Look at the other clowns they elect.

Here ya go Oregonians that voted for this incompetent. He's been given another chance to drive the State into the ground after 8 years of incompetence from Kulongoski.

How do deal with what Washington state did recently.

Maybe he will announce his resignation. But I doubt we'd be that lucky.

"Emergency" "temporary" retroactive sales tax.

 

"The welfare class is sucking us dry so we need more class warfare on the rich."

I'd wager he's going to take a page out of Egyptian president Morsi's book and grant himself absolute power.  Surely the masses in the major metropolitan areas of Oregon won't fight it like those pesky Egyptians did.

 

 

Logically it will be an angle to get more money to run the state.  I didn't like his changed stance on the death penalty.  I think he shouldn't have been allowed to do that.  It is all about the money to keep the programs running.  NO SALES TAX!!!  

quick question, The new legislature is now more Democrat is the special session legislature the "new" legislature or the "old" legislature Maybe he figures he can get a better deal on PERS with the "old" one. 'course don't trust him with either

Folks, The Gov will do the following:

 

1. Request dropping the tax rate to 5% and encouraging small business to expand.

 

2. Repeal his stance on the death penalty.

 

3.  Reform PERS so it takes less to fund and demand the PEU take a 25% cut in pay (If over $50K a year pay) and pay 50% of their ins for health care and retirement......

Sales tax to "fix" the budget hole?

Kitzhaber figured him and Comrade Adams have not screwed the state up enough for 2012, he still has a couple of weeks left, why waste them.

With a tear in his eye and mood elevators on his breath, he's going to tell us not to be so harsh on 7 and 11 yo's with loaded guns. He's morally opposed to the thought of punishing children.

Kitzroberoflegalcitzens?  Just keep spreading the wealth, mainly YOUR wealth.

Well since "lawmakers" endlessly make laws,more and more, untill everything is illegal in the police state... They are planning some sort of "law" or tax  that will screw us over more... bet.

He probably wants to appoint a panel that will study Special Sessions". And then ask the special session to pass a sales tax.

The imperial governor is looking more like the imperial president every day.  To the point of ignoring things voted by the people.  Let's hope he doesn't pull a Mursi and grant himself unlimited powers.

I'm sure that whatever is his immediate priority is in this will be a non-starter and buck common sense.   Count on an established Democrat to get it wrong most of the time.

We are at the end of one year, and going into another. He wants to sell his idea of "stabilizing" the state budget by prison sentence cuts and the retired workers' PERS benefits to the legislature. 

 

C'mon! I can see that a mile away.
