Lars hit it on the button,  MENTAL HEALTH. not bullets, clips, pistol grips, hand grips, rap music or marijuana.  in most cases mental health goes unreported in low in families, make psychological  evaluation and counseling cheaper and accessible. It wont stop all the killing but it will help. its as if our government doesnt want to face up to the fact that it needs to start taking care of people with mental health problems they dont even want to do it our soldiers when they return home from war with p.t.s.d

Thanks Lars.  Well, it looks like those two are convinced that our Government will not be taking away our firearms.  I find that quite predictable. I'm sure the President, United Nations, Hillary and all the rest were thinking "small steps" up until last month when these murders happened. They've certainly picked up the pace. My goal- to keep on protecting our rights to: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. This is still a Great Country and I want it to stay that way.

There's the phrase "military-style assault weapons."   I can swap out the stock on one of my big bad guns and suddenly it's not a military-style assault weapon because it doesn't have a pistol grip. Ridiculous, but the recurring phrase "military-style assault weapon" language is straight from Feinstein's website and it bubbles to the surface among anti-gun politicians and the media. Curious.Lars Larson drives me crazy most days but when it comes to the 2nd Amendment he's exactly on point. At Columbine, instead of using ten 13-round magazines, Harris used 13 ten-round magazines.   Why are these ignorant fat-heads unwilling to discuss this?  Idiots.

We are not fighting people with cold hard facts against cold hard facts.  If that were the case, the case would be closed.  We are fighting gun ignorant people who are brainwashed by our government and liberal media.  They think with their hearts that are still bleeding for the families of the shooting victims and not with their heads.  They are brainwashed into believing guns are to blame and everyone who owns guns are crazy.  We are fighting a fight that in a sense is like a game of chess and the government has been making their strategic moves over the last couple decades and using the media and bleed heart liberals as their pawns.  This has been in the political agenda for quite a while and Obama simply used a horrific event to capitalize on and make his move.  He realizes the restrictions he is trying to enforce would not have done anything to help stop the Newtown shooting.  He uses kids as pawns to  tear at the hearts of Americans trying to make them believe he is only doing it for the children.  Then comes off saying "If we can save one child, we should".  Now the bleed heart liberals honestly feel he is trying to save the lives of children and gun owners are trying to kill them.  If Obama were true to his word he would ban abortion and save the lives of thousands of children every month.  "If we can save one child, we should" coming from someone who is pro Live Birth abortion and partial birth abortion.  How is allowing a women to go almost full term, then having her go into labor and deliver all of the child but the head, then killing the child with a rod into it's brain.  Yes, Obama is OK with that happening daily, but has the audacity to say "If we can save one child, we should" when it comes to his personal agenda on gun control.  People need to wake up and see what is happening before it's too late!!!

I am in NO way trying to minimalize the murders at Newtown, CTC, and Aurora and feel deeply for the victims family and friends.  I too would LOVE to move toward finding a solution that works.  It's just that we are not moving in the right direction and it makes me upset and disappointed knowing the government would rather move toward their own agenda than to pursue real options that could help.

Lars - I thought you did a great job presents the facts, making your point and not flipping out on those two ignorant ladies like most people would have done.

I am very concerned when the statement is made that an assault rifle was used at the Sandy Hook School murders.

It was 4 hand guns that were used! The assault rifle was not removed from the car trunk until after the murder killed himself inside the school. He did not use the assault rifle! To use this case to ban the assault rifles is just plain fraud.
