PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Could Oregon football coach Mike Bellotti be headed to UCLA?

The Oregon County Register is reporting that UCLA's athletic director flew to Eugene on Thursday to meet with Bellotti.

Bellotti didn't deny it. Instead, he issued a statement saying that he was focused on the Ducks' preparation to face South Florida in the Sun Bowl.

UO athletic director Pat Kilkenny will not say whether UCLA officials asked for permission to contact the Ducks' coach.

UCLA football coach Karl Dorrell was fired on Dec. 3.

The Bruins are known to have interviewed Temple coach Al Golden, Philadelphia Eagles secondary coach John Harbaugh and Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Rick Neuheisel.

Bellotti has been at Oregon since 1989, when he arrived from Chico State to become offensive coordinator.
