VANCOUVER, Wash. - The 2008 Olympics have nothing on these kids.
Youngsters filled the starting grids while parents filled the stands at the recent All Comers Track Meet hosted by Clark College in Vancouver, Wash.
Events included the usual track and field activities, including a true test for any athlete: the high jump. Sure, it's an easy win when the bar is set low, but as it goes higher, the little Fosburys-in-training find it tough to clear the mark. Still, some do!
Out on the track, future Prefontaines are whittling down their times. It looks like there won't be a javelin event this year, though.
