CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State has rescheduled their game versus Nicholls State after Hurricane Isaac forced the teams to postpone their season-opening match up.

The game is now scheduled for December 1 at 11:30 a.m. in Corvallis. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.

The teams were supposed to play on Sept. 1, but Hurricane Isaac prevented Nicholls State from leaving their campus in Thibodaux, Louisiana and getting to Corvallis.

If the Beavers end up making the Pac-12 Championship game, which is also scheduled for Dec. 1, then the Nicholls State game will be canceled. Likewise, the game will be called off if Nicholls State makes the FCS playoffs.

In either of those two cases the team’s contract will be considered null and void, according to Steve Fenk with the OSU athletic department.

Tickets for the original game will still be valid for the new date, Fenk said. Season ticket holders may also contact the school if they’d like to trade their tickets in for any other game, excluding the Civil War, as long as there is space.
