Shot-of-the-day: Pee-wee hoopster swishes long buzzer beater
JUNCTION CITY, Ore. - With three seconds left in the game and the score tied 25-25, the coaches rallied their teams courtside for one final possession before regulation expired.
The 3rd and 4th graders took the court, and the team with possession inbounded the ball at the far end of the court.
Estifanos Gerdes, 8, brought the ball across half court - and let fly.
Swish.
The gym exploded with cheers.
"Did you get it?!" a woman asked off camera.
"Oh, yeah," the cameraman answered.
