Marshall Brothers meeting up in Tempe

Even though they may not be on the playing field at the same time Thursday night in Tempe, Oregon's freshman running back Byron Marshall and his big brother Cameron Marshall, a senior running back for Arizona State, will be duking it out for family bragging rights.

Separated by four years, the siblings from San Jose, California will be under the bright lights of national television on Thursday as No. 2 (3rd in BCS) Oregon (6-0, 3-0 Pac-12) takes to Arizona State (5-1, 3-0 in Pac-12) for the 6:00 kickoff on ESPN.

As for any smack talk this week, Byron Marshall told KVAL Sports, "You tell him to get ready to lose to me, to the little brother. It's all joking aside." Marshall continued,  "When it comes down to the game time we will just see who the better team is and ASU  is a good team so we are not taking them for granite at all."

Byron roots for his big brother every step of the way. "Even this week I want to see him succeed. It's family. Obviously I want us to win, don't get me wrong, but especially outside of the game I want him to have a big year, it's his last year."

Byron's Ducks have owned the bragging rights recently, winning four straight in the series and 11 of the last 14.
