Beavers can't wait to play again
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State has to wait around until 7:22 p.m. on Saturday to play Idaho at Reser Stadium.
Well, why not, it'll already have been 16 days since the Beavers last played a football game. What's a few more hours?
It's been a long, solemn stretch of practices and soul-searching for the Beavers. They were last seen on a football field disintegrating on national television in a 42-14 loss to Boise State Sept. 7.
That game left a mark on the Oregon State psyche. Beaver split end Sammie Stroughter said of the game that everyone needs to remember that it happened and make sure it never happens again. Oregon State is a 23-point favorite against Idaho, who the Beavers have beaten 35 times in 42 meetings.
With Pacific-10 play beginning next Saturday with Number 18 California, the Beavers just need to play a good game to get back on track.
