106-year-old Duck fan to be guest at NASCAR race in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Duck fan Flavia Sherwood, 106, will be a guest of honor at this weekend's NASCAR race in Portland at a display featuring a new University of Oregon race car simulator.

Brian Bach said the new race similutor and the Oregon State-themed car will both be on display at Portland International Raceway this weekend.

Sherwood, who graduated from Oregon in 1927, lives in McMinnville. She is a NASCAR fan and cheers for driver Greg Biffle from Vancouver, Wash., Bach said.

The Duck car will be on display for fans to race the on-board interactive video game, he said.

The latest in Duck technology featuring working steering wheel, shifter and brakes. Instead of an engine it has a computer and monitor on the dash board.
