This afternoon my brother, Richard Wilson, and his girlfriend were at a stop light at Hall and Greenberg road waiting to turn onto Oleson when an asian man wielding a screwdriver ran towards them and demanded they get out of their car through their opened window. They turned the car over to the thief who then disappeared in the vehicle.
Minutes earlier this same man had unsuccessfully attempted to carjack another vehicle in front of the Cheesecake factory at the Washington Square Mall and then ran towards Hall and Greenberg road to get away.
Detectives interviewed witnesses and then apprehended a suspect wielding a screwdriver in Beaverton at Murray and Allen where he was positively IDed as the perpetrator.
They found the car at the police station parking lot.
This must be the stupid thief hour.
