40+ lb. chinook salmon, caught October 6 by Jerry Caputo of Wheeler, south of the Barn Hole, South Fork of Nehalem River

It's De-Limit!

This 40 (or more) lb. chinook salmon was caught just south of the Barn Hole on the South Fork of the Nehalem River on October 6th, 2010. It was the second chinook of the season and ODFW's limit for these waters for fisherman Jerry Caputo of Wheeler, Oregon, so the following week, Jerry went crabbing and then took his boat out of the water for the winter. He is standing with fish on our boat dock. We got wonderful smoked salmon two days later!
