During the first winter storm of 2010, waves crash down the narrow channel called Devil's Churn, which is located at Cape Perpetua. The foam becomes quite dense, producing patterns not unlike thick cream (which is probably the reason for the name). It's fascinating watching the ever-changing dynamics of water and rock!

Great pictures. The last one reminds me of a mudslide
