What an opening day! I worked from 4am-8am on opening day 11/4/10. It was the best weather I ever remember on my birthday, sunny and almost 70°. Met my friend and his son TJ down on the Channel at 9AM.(His son and I both have 11/4 birthdays) By noon we had 2 shakers, and 4 keepers; we let the smallest one, a 41" one go. The biggest was 50". I had never caught a keeper sturgeon before that day. I actually hooked three and landed two!
Good thing we had a quick limit. It was so nice out we were all starting to get sunburned!
