With the current fire situation in Southern California raging out of control, the Malibu fire containment is finally estimated at 10%. At Pepperdine University students were finally able to leave campus to see how the city had faired in the last 24 hours. Water reservoirs on campus were utilized while fire crews continued to fights blazes in the area, specifically, Carbon Canyon. The city remains covered in smoke and road bocks are still set up at Malibu Canyon, Topanga Canyon, and Kanan Dune, preventing Malibu residents, and students to return to the city.
