Waste: A Big Topic in Todays Age

What you are seeing is nothing short then a question in the rising.

If a 2.5 in SATA HDD can replace a 3.5 Inc SATA HDD , then why don't we change over?

Why are we so wastefull in manufacturing the larger 3.5 in HDD that produce more heat and in return creats more heat in the PC?

Why can't we just go to the smaller 2.5 inch HDD well a at least untill they become obsolete?

and if were heading into Solid state storage devices, why cant we jsut eliminate 3.5 inch HDD all to geather?

The snaller drives use less electricity can store the nearly the same amount of data as there ocunter parts and well, would in essence create smaller PCs... Or has this time already come with the all in ones?

So my question is why are we wasting metal and creating a land fill issue when the answer is already here with the smaller drives?
