Foot of Snow Falls in Husum, WA

Precipitation that was forecast to fall in the form of freezing rain has instead materialized as almost a foot of snow in Husum, WA, just 8 miles north of Hood RIver, OR. Temperature has remained just above freezing since mid-morning, when area temps where around 29 degrees Fahrenheit. Most of the snow accumulation has happened since 6 o’clock this morning. As of 1:40 PM, it is still snowing hard, but there have been a couple of brief periods this afternoon where the precipitation appeared to be transitioning to rain.
