This is a fire at No 1 and No. 10 6th Street Astoria, Oregon which were among the original Bumble Bee cannery buildings on the waterfront of Astoria. They are built on Piling over the river which is why the fire spread quickly. Started about midnight.

I used to work at the Cannery Cafe and to think this as well as others have lost their businesses and jobs right before Christmas is devastating. I sure hope this wasn't arson but no matter what the causes of them, the damage is done!
