NEAR DALLESPORT, Wash.—This bald eagle soars past the rocky hillside along State Route 14, just a few miles west of Dallesport, Wash., on Monday.

Bald eagles were also spotted today along State Route 14 near John Day Dam and Crow Butte.

My BIL would be so envious that you got that pic. He's a major fan of the Eagle (Among other things)

Nothing more beautiful in our skies, in my opinion, than our national bird. They are so stunningly beautiful - and they have that look that says, "Don't mess with me". And watching them soar is breathtaking. I see them often in the San Juan Islands.
