Binky Patrol Comforting Covers for Kids teamed up with HandsOn Portland at Holy Trinity Catholic Church for a Bink-a-Thon where the group of 100 make 150 blankets in a day.
Children were welcome at the event. There were students from one school - 20 children who learned how to cut and pin. They gave unending enthusiasm and willingness to do anything to assist in the event. A team from the local Starbucks - the owners/managers all joined the event several hours.
Between the 30 sewing machines and non-sewing volunteers, 150 blankets were made and have already been delivered to local area shelters.
