Where the Klickitat river empties out into the Columbia River in Lyle, Washington, Bald Eagles can be seen perched in the tree tops above the Salmon as the fish lay their eggs and head upstream. It is a magnificent sight where you can see up to 15 eagles at one time right now!

I saw, on xmas day, 2011 approx. 48 bald eagles just a little ways upstream on the Klickitat river just outside Lyle, just north of where the river intersects with the Columbia. I have NEVER seen so many bald eagles gathered together in one spot!

We have counted as many as 60 Bald Eagles at one time and place in January on the Klickitat River at Lyle.

I like how that eagle is looking at the camera seemingly saying "What are YOU looking at?"
