I woke up and checked the news-stories on the net to read that Retriever Towing of Portland has a history ofPredatory Towing, just as my Mother, visiting from out-of-state, starts her day by asking me, "Where's my car?"; I soon discovered it was, in fact, in posession of the Retriever Towing company, which had towed the car without contacting her, or the management office of the property I live in.

My 82, Mother--in-law had a car stolen by 21st Century towing right out of her parking spot and It had a sticker in the window. Yesterday a coworker of mine inherited a different car it was towed in less than 12 hours right out of his own space.

I was one of the victims of this towing company. It seem that they try to move the car out asap so they can charge you later for the towing fee.

I used to dispatch for a tow company. This is more common than most people think.
