MILWAUKIE, Ore.—An Ardenwald-Johnson Creek sign stands in a snow-covered blackberry patch on the "terrace" along S.E. Johnson Creek Blvd. in Milwaukie.
About an inch of snow fell early Thursday morning, blanketing trees, rooftops, cars, and the ground. The snowfall was the first significant snowfall in Milwaukie this winter.
Snow also covered some of the side streets, but collector streets like S.E. Johnson Creek Blvd. S.E Tacoma St., and S.E. 32nd Ave. were mostly wet with a hint of slush, but nothing that would be considered a major concern.
