Freak storm in Beaverton

I was watching TV, and all of a sudden I here this LOUD noise coming from outside, and I see it raining sideways! Crazy!

I think it was a Squall or maybe a mini typhoon? and there is that strange weather is like a tornado..only it is on its side?

We lost part of our roof shingles about 3pm. About 8X10 feet of it. Sounded like a freight train coming through! We live in the Millersburg area, just north of Albany. Very close to I-5. Roof is only 7 years old.
