My daughter, Michelle Nurmi, her boyfriend and a gaggle of their friends head out on the Columbia River every "Springer" season, in hopes of catching the beloved, much-sought-after spring chinook. Most important, is bragging rights to "The" Big One. On Sun., Mar. 27, 2011 Michelle easily landed a third of her weight when she reeled in this beauty off Bachelor Island. Looks like she has bragging rights this season, and perhaps, seasons to come! As the season comes to an end, their friends are on The River, too, hoping to oust her top dog position. Happy fishing! Delicious eats!
