Hail and snow in Vancouver causes pileup

As I was traveling home from downtown vancouver I began to notice the large amount of vehicles in oncoming traffic with what appeared to be snow piled on hoods and windshields. I peered at my in vehicle thermometer and noticed it to be 40 degrees. Within moments traffic began to slow, and as I rounded the corner of SR500 and the 205 junction near Vancouver Mall, I happened upon this scene. What appeared to be a typical PNW day had turned quickly into disaster for some.
