With Washington State Route 4 closed, the only logical way for me to get home is by the ferry in Westport to Puget Island. I began my drive from Longview, Washington, at approximately 7:30 this morning - the air was cold, the fog was dense. I crossed over the Lewis and Clark bridge into Rainier, Oregon, and began to ascend the hill, due west on Highway 30. Approaching the top of the hill, the fog had thinned out and was no longer on the roadway; we had gone above it. I pulled over at the second scenic viewing area and marveled at what Mother Nature had laid out before me. The photograph posted is one of the ones that stood out the most, to me. In it, you can see the thick fog as well as the Lewis & Clark Bridge and Mount St. Helens in the back. =)
