Fishing in windy conditions on Rock Creek, I hooked this monster (9 pounds, 28 inches) in shallow water. The wind kept blowing me away from the fish and it wouldn't fit in the net. I finally got his head and shoulders in and got him into my lap. Put a bear hug on him and made for shore. Smoked him....very tastey.

We go way back to Adak, Ak. Then onto Vietnam on the USS Annapolis. This one was way bigger then the Adak island version that we just flipped out of creeks bare handed. Great fish, great friend.
