On Saturday June 11, 2011 I was sitting in my bedroom when I heard a load noise that sounded like we were under siege. I went outside and the Coast Guard Helicopter was flying so close to the water we figured someone must have jumped off the bridge. However they had the CG Boat nearby so a bit confused as to what was happening. Finally a member was lowered into the water and the helicopter eventually flew away. The CG Boat came and picked up the member and up river towards Rose Festival they went. How bizarre was that?

I've seen them do similar exercises here in St. Helens. I just assumed they were practicing some maneuver, or doing a demonstration for a special event (in this case, Rose Festival).
