My wife and I decided to climb Dog Mountain, on the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge on Saturday, July 23, 2011. We had originally thought about going to the coast, but with the beautiful weather and only the 8th day of plus 80 degrees, we decided to go undertake this strenuous climb of 3000 feet. What a beautiful view from up there, seeing the mountains and the Columbia Gorge. Coming down, our legs protested greatly by the time we finally reached the car though. But it was worth it to see these sights.
