A good friend of mine Bill Monroe Jr. took myself and two daughters Taylor and Megan fishing at Bouy 10 August 20, 2011. This was there first trip out salmon fishing. Fishing the Washington side above the bridge we were trolling up river when Megans rod bent over and the line started flying off the reel. Megan grabed the rod and fought the fish with a little help from dad when we had to take the fish under the bridge and her arms were getting a little tired in the end but she fought and landed a 35lb URB salmon. Here first salmon ever. I was very proud of her and can only hope some day I can catch one that big. Taylor caught a nice coho she was only a little jealous.
