The Bobby Torres Ensemble will be performing at Vie de Bohème Winery on Saturday November 5, 2011. The show starts at 8:30 pm. Driving Afro-Cuban rhythms ignite this inspired blend of Latin, Jazz, and Rock-n-Roll to create Torres’ signature sound. Bobby’s 10– piece Ensemble features Latin polyrhythms, tasty piano licks, a synco-pulsating Latin bass, three fat horns, spicy Latin-percussion, and the harmonic tones of the two lead vocalists: Karla Harris and Julana Torres. Band founder and leader, Bobby Torres, is a record producer, songwriter, percussion instructor and session musician based in Portland, Ore. From touring and playing Woodstock with Joe Cocker through ten years of touring with Tom Jones and many other legends, Torres has been on the music scene for more than 35 years. His talent as a percussionist has also led to performances with stars such as Jackson Browne, Al Jarreau, The Captain & Tennille, The Beach Boys and Etta James. Since 1995, the Bobby Torres Ensemble has been his central focus.
