The residents of the White Salmon River Valley were treated to a bit of a late-morning White Christmas in the form of a brief flurry of sleet and snow, before the precipitation turned to rain. The wintry mix lasted just long enough to coat some of the scenery, and, if only for a moment, added a little more holiday cheer as evidenced by several Facebook posts heralding the snowfall. As the mercury continues to rise, it seems doubtful, at least for now, that the white stuff will show itself again this Christmas Day. But we shall wait and see....
