As I worked on the computer this afternoon I notice frequent noises that resembled the revving of an engine. As the noise continued and grew closer, I opened my front door to listen and was surprised to hear the constant rumbling of thunder. I called my 2-year old Lab back into the house and went back to work on the computer. I frequently looked out the window to watch the darkening sky in hopes to see another strike of lighting. Moments later, my dog started running back and forth from where I was working on the computer to the bottom of the stairwell. My 7 month old was asleep upstairs, but because of the baby gate she couldn't go upstairs and she was frantic. Suddenly, the lights began to flicker with each clap of thunder and bolt of lightening. I decided to be safe and shut off my computer and just enjoy the storm. Just then the brightest bolt of lightening along with the loudest rumble of thunder shook my house. Windows began to shake and I heard loud rumbling and cracking noises. Immediately, my son was awoken from his nap and was screaming in fear. While I comforted him it began to pour and then hail. The rain was heavy at times and the hail was the size of small marbles. It seem to hit in two waves that lasted less than a minute and it was all over. I watched the blackened sky speed over my house and within 10-15 minutes there were patches of blue sky and any evidence of a storm was gone.

The video was taken at approximately 12:30 pm after the loud thunder and shaking. It shows the size of the hail (what was left), the rain and the dark sky. I am located east of I-205 and Padden Parkway. The video was taken looking east.
