These pictures were taken shortly after 2:00a.m. in Astoria, OR just one block up from Hwy-30 or Lief Eirkson Dr., just above the East End Boat Mooring Basin. The Wind speed was less than 5 mph and the temperature was 33.4 degrees F when these pictures were taken. There's approximately 2 inches of snow on the ground now after it all melted off yesterday. There was no trace of snow anywhere from Seaside to Astoria by 3:00p.m. yesterday. The snow is still coming down heavy now but it is turning to a very wet snow; it's borderline slush and will likely turn to freezing rain or rain if it warms up at all.
