The Funeral Service Education (FSE) program at Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) will hold its 16th annual Funeral Arrangement Exercise, Feb. 21, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Town and Gown room on the Gresham Campus, 26000 S.E. Stark St.
Second-year students will work with volunteers posing as bereaved family members to help them make mock funeral arrangements. Students will answer questions and discuss funeral service options, such as cremation versus burial, urn and casket selections and a range of other topics, including “green” burial.
“This event provides FSE students with an opportunity to practice working with families,” says Terri Canfield, MHCC funeral service instructor. “It is also an opportunity for volunteers to experience the process of making funeral arrangements in a comfortable environment without the difficult emotions that accompany a real death.” FSE students will also offer mock arrangements for pet memorialization.
Volunteers Needed
This event is free and open to the public. Contact FSE student Cindy Hosking to schedule a one-hour appointment or for more information. She may be reached at hosking.cindy@yahoo.com or 503-701-0740. She will call back if you leave a voice message.
Refreshments will be served.

I don't think it is a complete waste of time. How you like it if you went to a funeral home for a loved one and you had someone there that was unable to keep from laughing their asses off because your uncle died from clown overdose?

Ridiculous.... Apply direct! A true waste of your time to make very little money.
