MARYHILL, Wash. — As the cold air dominates the Pacific Northwest, this morning sunrise brings a sense of warmth as it rises over the hills above Rufus.

At the time of the sunrise, 7:53 a.m. PST, the wind was relatively a gentle breeze, regardless of the 16-degree air temperature.
