The solitude of a seemingly quiet neighborhood filled with residential homes and miniature creeks was disrupted today as police respond to a gunshot victim on the corner of 80th and SW Taylors Ferry Rd in SW Portland, Thursday morning. With a single gunshot victim who was not the homeowner being transported to OHSU in unknown condition, police locked the neighborhood down while searching for 2 suspects- a male and female- who were supposedly on foot, with canines. The female in question has been apprehended and they are still on the lookout for the male.
Talking with the neighbor, Cathy, behind them who knew the homeowners she described the residents as loving, caring people who had been helping a few people hard on their luck. She was on scene to try and see how her friends were doing and to check in on them.
It is suspected that the victim was one of the people the family was allowing to stay there and that the suspects knew this person, however the facts are not known yet at this time.
