On my way to work, spotted this giant black ring in the sky. I had to pull over and take pictures. I've never seen anything like this before, and it lasted about 15 minutes before the wind took it away. My best explanation is that a big diesel engine, like a train, started up and belched this thing, but??? Definitely not a field burn.

i have seen these smoke ring when i was a young child , and not just me but every one who lived by me , that was over 40yrs ago. and no one as ever said what they were ..

Fact or Faked April 1,2012 has same.thing and there explanation was a smoke ring to advertising an amusement park I'd may be an advertisement for something to.get.ones attention.

I saw it going to work, it was past the fire department training center. I would say at about 180th - 200th and Sandy blvd. Still I have no idea.

I saw this too and snapped a picture. There is a Gresham Fire Department training facility very close to that area. That might be where it came from too.

I saw one on my way to work this morning... say at 0745 AM. It was from that industrial area just south of I84 at 181st.
