Here are a few pictures of my beautiful wife's first ever springer. This was her second springer trip ever. The first trip resulted in a skunking. This time however, we were successful!
She caught this on a prawn spinner in the Willamette River downstream of Oregon City Saturday afternoon. We trolled around for a few hours without a bite and were just reeling up to head back in. Suddenly she says "Um, I think I'm snagged on the bottom." Then a second later: "No, it's a fish!". She fought it from start to finish like a pro.
We watch the morning newscast every weekday and would love to see this featured on Fish tales. We love the Jetranger shots of the boats on the river, too!
