The Northern Lights made their appearance early this morning, Sunday the 15th of July, in a rare appearance over Mount Hood, Oregon. I was able to get away from the cloud cover on the west side of the mountain and get a view of the northern sky from White River Snow Park off of highway 35.

Amazing shot! I knew there might be northern lights that night, and looked north around 11 PM, 1 and 3 AM and didn't see anything - but I'm sure all the lights in Vancouver washed them out. Thanks for posting!
