a felony stop was performed just about an hour ago on Interstate 5, south bound, just before the Market Street exit.
the felon was in a chevy pickup, chased by Newberg-Dundee police, Marion County Sheriffs, Keizer Police Department, Salem Police Department and Oregon State Police.
A gun was believed to be thrown from the vehicle prior to stopping the man. Stop sticks were deployed. The interstate was closed and later the fast and middle lanes were open to allow traffic to start moving again.
