Tree limb broke and fell on power line in Beaverton, late in the evening, causing sparks and flames. Eventually repaired by 4am by PGE repair crew. About 5 minutes before the fire fighters arrived, the neighbor kid tried to reach sparks with the garden hose and nozzle, but quit before the water from it reached. The tree was a Sweet Gum, notorious for weak branch unions and brittle wood. This was between SW Hall Blvd. and SW Denny Rd, between 10pm and 11pm.
Tree limb falls on power lines. Ignites.
