At about 1:45pm on Friday the 28th, marble sized hail started pelting the hills above Silverton, OR near Salem. There was also some thunder and lightning in the immediate area. After hailing for about 10-15 minutes, the hail seemed to somewhat turn to snow then it all stopped and the sun came out.
