Pea-sized hail dumps on Milwaukie

MILWAUKIE, Ore. - A strong hail downpour dumps pea-sized hail onto the Milwaukie area this afternoon at 5 p.m., temporarily blanketing the area white.

The hail downpour lasted close to ten minutes.

Hail covering the street surface melted quickly, but the hail on other surfaces such as rooftops, lawns, and cars did not melt as quickly.

As of 6:50 p.m. this evening, rooftops and lawns remain partially covered with hail.
