GLADSTONE, Ore. - Anyone driving southbound on Interstate 205 through Gladstone may be doing a double take while passing one particular billboard with a rather downright negative personal statement.
The 10-by-40-foot billboard stands aside Interstate 205 near the Gladstone exit with an anonymous message “My wife hates me,” in black type on plain white background, and no graphics or contact information provided.
An online search turned up very little results with a couple of bloggers speculating their own reasons why some poor individual would post such a remark on a billboard.
So who is it that is having marital issues?
Many would think the answer is some private individual having marital issues, but the Oregon Lottery is behind the vexatious remark.
This morning I contacted the billboard’s owner, Lamar Advertising Company office in Portland, by telephone to find out who placed the message.
A representative from Lamar Advertising Company said the Oregon Lottery has a contract exclusively for that particular billboard space, and does not sublease the space to anyone else.
Immediately I contacted the Oregon Lottery office in Salem by telephone to find out more details about this message.
The Oregon Lottery confirmed the message on the billboard is indeed theirs and it is a teaser advertisement for an advertising campaign.
The Oregon Lottery did not comment on the advertising campaign details.

there is actually another similar looking billboard on I-5 south near Salem (not exactly sure) that says "just let me be"

Heh! The billboard now reads "My wife hates meat-filled pastries," with the right-hand side of the board "scratched off," revealing a few lottery tickets and the disclaimer message. Definitely a teaser ad alright.

Watch the movie The Secret it will tell you what's going on. “Thoughts, become things” Thousands of people drive by this each day and without even realizing it, are thinking about it which will cause it to manifest. Watch divorce rates stats.
