My fiance and I had went to Wall Mart and purchased a few solar lanterns , 2 spot lights and then these flower looking solar path way lights.
We decided to get creative, seeing how the management had said "No candles in the pumpkins"
Well this proved to be a bit of a challenge . How are we to light the Pumpmkins?
My answer was to cut and carve the pumpkins like we normally do, only this time turn the pumpkin upside down measure around the flower and then cut that area. the rest is is all up to the pumpkin carver. One can also cut the green stem off if ones wishes.
on the skeleton there is a Solar Spot light.
Don't let that $10.00 price tag put you off that thing will shine at least 15 feet fully charged. The newer solar lanterns will charge in very low light and even on cloudy days.
What is cool about this is that you can also use these lanterns as emergency lights for when you lose power.
on a cloudy day the "flower lanterns " will shine nearly all night long with the stock batteries.
My advice for the longest lighting as possible is to use Duracell or Enloops which average in a 2,000 to 2400 mha.
My idea was to was to use as little power as needed.
I also have battery powered black lights that can be used on Halloween. I will wait until Halloween to set those up as they are not solar powered ...YET..
