Just as you thought it was over up comes this new Scam I am sure to bilk American's out of there monies, don't fall for it. This is why the FTC has offered a reward for any one that has an Idea on how to end this once and for all.
there are a number of red flags in this call makes it appear to be a scam.
Flag 1 it is urgent and it also throws in derogatory angry comment about those on welfare.
Flag 2 the most apparent Flag that this is a scam is that the call phone number has ben spoofed and that in general is a high end scam.
The FTC has issued fighting words with robo-telemarketers, offering $50,000 for a solution to the robocalls. Commercial telemarketing calls were banned by the FTC in September of 2009, yet that hasn’t stopped the barrage of calling-during-dinner robot-initiated calls from a variety of solicitors.
The Main barrier is the practice to all for Spoofing numbers.
Until one can make this illegal to do then we may have lost the battle before it is won.
