Different forcasts for this area

Weather Channel:
Today's High was 35°F at 3:05pm when conditions were Cloudy .
Actual temperature was 34°F
We are currently at 32°F

Snow has slowly melted off the roads , it appears we have some permafrost under the snow It was not easy driving the steaks for the lights into the ground. It is as hard as a rock well pretty close to it.
Our soil type is sandy .

Why is it that we have different forecasts for this area.
And none of them are true and accurate?
This is the reason why I never believe what the weather man says. And have my own temperature probe to know what the real temp is.

Different forecasts/personal weather experiences are due to micro climates within different neighborhoods & even different parts of your own yard all dependent on topography, roads, trees, ground cover & other contingent factors.
